Fun Fact
"I love including people and sharing wisdom. When I was little, I was excluded from a lot things that kids my age were doing. I was the stereotypical big glasses and dorky haircut kid and left out of a lot of group activities. Because of that, I now believe everyone has the ability to do anything they set their minds to regardless of the adversity. Part of that is teaching others what I have been taught (sharing the knowledge) if that person has set their mind to learn it. The challenge is exciting, fun, and adventerous!"
What's Important to Me?
Faith
God is first and foremost in my life, always. Although I'm not perfect, I strive to be a reflection of Him everyday.
Family
Whether it be my immediate family (husband and two dogs) or my extended family, I'm always trying to find ways to talk and be together. Birthdays have always been a big deal to my family, so I have made it my mission to make sure everyone's birthday is very special.
Friends
My best friends might as well be family to me. I'm known as 'Auntie M' to my official and unofficial nieces and nephews. Although I'm the worst texter, we somehow make sure to get together and be our normal crazy selves.
Community
I love giving back anywhere I can. The big thing we do every year is hand out presents to under-privilege communities. This year, I partnered up with a lot of local businesses and blessed students in the Nadaburg school district to hand out gifts to over 100 kids.
What Do I Do For Fun?
Gardening!
I love watching things grow from seeds. Every now and then, I will pick a plant to transplant, but I find it so much more rewarding to see it sprout from little things. My grandpa is teaching me his green thumb. This is a picture of my pumpkin patch!
Board Games
Board games with my husband and friends is usually a weekly occurrence. Not the monopoly style board games, but very intense strategy board games. Don't tell my husband, but I'm the Game Master in our house!
Puzzles
Puzzles are relaxing and a nice way to 'zone out.' It's fun to have all these random pieces and finding what fits together without having too much thinking involved.
